I need some guy advice? I'm torn?

I like him and he says he likes me but he's dating this hideous girl. He keeps saying he want to break up with her but he kindaa never does. I just got out of a terrible relationship and I just want someone. I feel like he really cares but he's dated soooooooooo many girls. Kinda like a man whore. I can't stop thinking about him and now my old boyfriend regrets breaking my heart. This guy is the one who comforted me and helped me glue my heart back together when the idiot broke it. I don't know anymore. What should I do? <\3
